Overall, the driving responsiveness of the TR3 was excellent, despite the rear's tendency to 'turn' into corners. In addition to the upgraded engine, a new mask was installled. In 1956 the front drum brakes were replaced with Girling disc brakes which made the TR3 to become one of the first British cars to mount front discs and rear drums as standard.
